The Center provides mentoring and group sessions with their peers and also teaches coping skills to prevent those bad behaviors. Mental health days can be taken for a variety of reasons and allow people to take a break when they start feeling overwhelmed. When students take mental health days, staff and school counselors can then connect the family with resources and follow up with students to ensure they’re getting the help they need.
