Though it was never intended to be permanent, the organization’s existence has since been signed into law and its budget has doubled to $50 million and it has become a reliable source of food throughout the state.

Facing a supply shortage, North Dakota and South Dakota arranged a no-cost swap of needed COVID19 testing supplies.
