The secret weapon Michigan political campaigns are just starting to learn about

Thanks to a 2022 ballot proposal, Michigan voters can "cure" mail-in ballots with missing or mismatched signatures until 5 p.m. on the Friday following an election, giving them an opportunity to ensure their votes count. Some campaigns have mounted efforts to encourage voters to cure their ballots, with one mayoral election in a city of less than 28,000 people seeing roughly 120 voters fix such signature issues.
