100% Mamans, an association in Morocco that aids single mothers, has created a radio show called "Mères en Ligne" that is hosted and run by unwed mothers. The show, which at this point can only live online because Morocco prohibits community radio to broadcast on air, allows women to tell their stories and advocate for their rights despite the heavy stigma. Since the show launched in May of 2017, it has already received 2,500,000 visitors and counting.

The stock photo community is taking steps to offer more diverse options with a partnership by Getty Images, Dove, and GirlGaze to produce 5,000 newly available photographs of 179 women from 39 countries. The photos are their own collection on Getty's website and has customizable tags written by the subjects in the photo (recent ones include “blackgirlmagic,” “confident,” and “bosslady.” Already searches for terms like “strong women” and “women leaders” are up 187% and 202% respectively, and Getty plans to donate 10% of each licensing fee to promote further work in this area.

When a new California law unlocked the disciplinary records on misconduct from 700 police agencies statewide, competing news organizations formed the California Reporting Project to accomplish as a team what would have been daunting, if not impossible, for each news organization individually: compile a database of all the records as they are released. Filing more than 1,100 records requests with more than 600 law enforcement agencies, members of the California Reporting Project leveraged each others' resources rather than competing to tackle the massive reporting project made possible by a new state transparency law.
